When you apply for a checking account, you can request a free Visa Debit Card that can be used at ATMs and merchants to get cash or make purchases. Your card and PIN will arrive separately to the address we have on file for you. It takes 10 to 14 business days to get your Visa Debit Card and PIN. If you deposit a minimum of $100 in your checking account, we will order a temporary start card that you can have in hand within two business days to make purchases as a signature-based transaction (signature-based transaction is when you select credit instead of debit on the pin pad, and you don't enter a PIN).
